Open About This Mac from the Apple menu at the top left of the screen. If ‘Chip’ says Apple M…, download the Apple Silicon file; if ‘Processor’ says Intel, download the Intel file.
Download only from this page. The Windows file is the official RustDesk release; only its file name carries our server settings — the contents are unchanged. The Mac and Linux links go to the official RustDesk release on GitHub.
To verify a download, compare its hash: Get-FileHash <file> on Windows, shasum -a 256 <file> on Mac and Linux. The hash of the Windows file is the same as the official file, although its name is different.
Double-click the downloaded file. If Windows shows an ‘unknown publisher’ or SmartScreen warning, choose More info → Run anyway. The publisher shows as PURSLANE, the company that signs the RustDesk releases.
If it offers to install, do not install; leave the window open.
Check that Ready appears at the bottom of the window.
Tell our support team the ID and password (section 5).
When we connect, click Accept on the request that appears.
On Windows the settings are in the file name; on macOS and Linux you enter the server details once.
Open RustDesk. On a Mac, drag it to Applications; on Linux, make the AppImage executable and run it, or install the .deb / .rpm package.
On the main screen, open ⋮ → Network next to your ID; choose Unlock network settings and enter your administrator password.
Open ID/Relay server, enter the values below and click Apply. Or use Import server config and paste the ready-made text.

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Under Screen Recording (macOS 15: ‘Screen & System Audio Recording’), turn RustDesk on; restart it if asked.
Under Accessibility, turn RustDesk on (mouse and keyboard control).
Under Input Monitoring, turn RustDesk on.
If the Mac says the developer cannot be verified, choose Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
